    • Irish Gaelic Songs

      Thursday June 30th, 2016 ~ 7:00PM-9:00PM

      Taught by Shanti Hofshi.This class will be a survey of Irish Gaelic songs as a means of learning Irish grammar, idiom and vocabulary. We will be listening to and analyzing one or more songs each week. This is not a singing class, but the material we study will be useful to you if you wish to sing in Irish. A basic knowledge of Irish (e.g. one previous beginner class) is recommended. The class is free of charge and all materials are provided by the instructor.

    • Celtic Art Class

      Topic: "Celtic Designed Hand Painted Banner"

      Taught by Mary McDermott and Sandra Arevalo. Join us at the House of Ireland for an interactive Celtic Art class.

    • Intermediate Music Session

      Saturday July 2nd, 2016 ~ 4:00PM-6:00PM

      An Intermediate Irish Session meets at the cottage each week. Musicians at an intermediate level are welcome to join in, and members of the public are welcome to stop in and enjoy the music. Players must bring their own instruments.

    • Introductory Music Session

      Sunday July 3rd, 2016 ~ 10:30AM-12:00PM

      Every Sunday morning, the House of Ireland offers a free introductory Irish session music class at the House of Ireland Cottage in Balboa Park, San Diego. All players of all levels are welcome to participate. Players must bring their own instruments.

    • Cottage Open - Sunday Hosting

      Sunday July 3rd, 2016 ~ 12:00PM-4:00PM

      Experience a bit of Irish hospitality. Stop in for a cup of Irish tea and a slice of soda bread while enjoying traditional Irish music and dance or joining in for some classic Irish songs. 1st Sundays feature traditional Irish step dancing!
